This week I have been really busy with work, School and Jobs. Something sad that happened was that I had just finished working and on the way to school I saw 2 little kids, one boy and one girl, who both were only about 5 years old who were working really hard. At first I didn’t think anything of it because I thought it was just normal helping out but then I realised, “Where were their parents?” It wasn’t usual for little kids to be working without their parents there. I went up to them and asked them where their parents were. The little girl bursted into tears as she grabbed the little boy and hugged him. A single tear drop dropped from his eye as he said “Our parents died last night while we were sleeping, we woke up and they were on the floor, blood everywhere and a gun on the floor”. My heart dropped as I thought about what they would have seen. “Do you have anywhere to stay?” I asked them, “No” The little boy said, the girl still holding him tightly. I thought about that for the rest of the day until I finally came to a conclusion. As I approached the 2 little ones again I said to them “I don’t want you guys out here all alone and I have a kind loving family who would be happy to have you stay with us, So would you like to come to a warm home?” They both ran to me in tears “We would love to, thank you so much, We have never been much appreciated” They said to me. Now they are very happy, having been fed, had a wash and In a warm house with a nice new family.
